By Rich Cheney: Promoter Bob Arum says a fight between his fighter unbeaten light welterweight champion Terence “Bud” Crawford (31-0, 22 KOs) and IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. (22-0, 19 KOs) could be a huge pay-per-view fight in the near future if the 27-year-old Spence could get promoted well by his management.
The 85-year-old Arum revealed this information on Friday at the weigh-in of the Crawford vs. Julius Indongo card in Lincoln, Nebraska. Crawford, 29, will be moving up in weight to welterweight soon, possibly after his fight with Indongo if he’s successful against him.
Arum said Spence-Crawford could be a big PPV fight if Spence “could get good promotion.”
Arum is also interested in having Crawford fight the winner of the Jeff Horn vs. Manny Pacquiao rematch, which is expected to take place in November.
