By Rich Cheney: WBC/WBO light welterweight champion Terence “Bud” Crawford (31-0, 22 KOs) weighed in at 140 pounds and looked in spectacular shape for his unification fight against IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Julius Indongo (22-0, 11 KOs) for this Saturday’s HUGE match-up on ESPN and ESPN Deportes at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Indongo, 34, weighed in at 139 lbs. The fight is now official!
Indongo, 5’10 1/2″, looked much taller than the 5’8″ Crawford when the two stood for the face off. It’s going to be interesting to see how Crawford deals with the huge height and reach advantage of Indongo.
The two light welterweight champions stood for a long stare down at the face off. Crawford seemed to be the one that wanted to keep the stare down going for as long as possible, as he should. Crawford, 29, needs this win to help increase his popularity. He’s on the brink of stardom, and he cannot afford a slip up in this fight.
