Current BetStars betting: David Haye (40/85) v Tony Bellew (9/5)
BetStars Director of Trading Ian Marmion said: “Tony Bellew to come out on top at 9/5 looks to be the most value in the bout betting market, with Bellew confirming his previous victory as being nothing like the fluke Haye is saying it was. David Haye on the other hand is looking quite short at 40/85 and we can see the prices coming slightly closer together as the fight draws nearer.
“We now know that both fighters possess KO power at this weight, however Bellew goes into the fight with the mental edge of winning their last fight and now knows how close he can get to Haye without getting hurt.
“The round betting markets are where we expect to see most of our turnover. Haye to win in rounds one to three (9/2) and four to six (7/2) will be popular as punters expect the only way Haye can win is an early KO.
“However, we think the seven to nine (10/1) and 10 to 12 (18/1) round markets for a Bellew KO/TKO hold the real value as Haye is not a man that can venture into the later rounds with such gusto at this stage of his career. If Haye fails to get Bellew out of the ring in the earlier rounds, the tide may turn and Bellew’s greater stamina and fitness are guaranteed to come into play.”
